Guest ConductorsOliver Rundell studied Music at Cambridge University, and trained at the national Opera Studio in London. Since 2002 he has been a full-time member of the music staff at Scotish Opera, and has worked on more than twenty productions, from Orfeo ed Euridice and The Magic Flute to The Knot Garden and The Death of Klinghoffer via Wagner's Ring Cycle. In 2004 he conducted the world premiere of Scottish Opera's specially commissioned opera for children The Minotaur. He has been musical director of the company's touring production of Macbeth and conducted Dei Fledermaus on tour in 2007. He is a visiting coach in the Opera Department for the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and is assistant organist at St Mary's Cathedral in Glasgow where he broadcasts regularly on BBC TV and radio. His future plans include conducting Scottish Opera's touring production of Cinderella.
